The Team


We are seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join our Counterparty Risk & Trading Documentation group as a Trading Documentation Paralegal. The group is broadly responsible for preparing AQR funds and managed accounts for trading activities with counterparties and service providers and maintaining those relationships over time. This includes activities such as registering the fund with identifiers, setting up custodial accounts, registrations in emerging markets, maintaining administrative services, responding to KYC/AML requests, and onboarding across counterparties for products such as futures, derivatives, prime brokerage financing, repo, execution and clearing.


Your Role



  • Lead account openings at global custodian and administrators, and set up custodial trading accounts for various developed and emerging markets with service providers

  • Register new entities for legal entity identifiers with global utilities and monitor renewal obligations

  • Respond to counterparty requests related to KYC/AML information, organize supporting legal documents, and maintain sensitive, confidential information associated with required disclosure documents

  • Assist with completing and providing representation letters, IPO forms, QIB Certificate, Reg S letters, FINRA letters and other transactional documentation to counterparties

  • Assist with execution trading agreements to onboard new counterparties

  • Support requests and questions from other teams across the firm on trading documentation as needed

  • Assist in aspects of new fund launches and account trading documentation onboarding and act as liaison with firm-wide onboarding teams


What You'll Bring



  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant industry experience preferred

  • The ideal candidate will be intelligent, self-motivating, energetic and goal-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment

  • Candidate must have a basic knowledge of legal documentation, corporate due diligence procedures and document management

  • Familiarity with KYC/AML diligence requirements would be a plus

  • Some understanding and experience operating within asset management, hedge funds, mutual funds, and managed accounts would be a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
