POSITION SUMMARY:

The Weld Trainer is responsible for facilitating the training process. He/She will be responsible for creating and delivering appropriate content for training welders. This role serves as a support resource for all welding functions within the corporation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with staff members and other managers to create training for employees or new hires


  • Ensure training materials that include significant technical content are reviewed by the appropriate department(s) prior to delivery to an internal or external audience; thorough research and review is required


  • Deliver training to small and large groups to cover technical topics (e.g. welding, product overviews, etc.) or basic information (e.g. new hire orientation, monthly meeting information, etc.)


  • Deliver educational and motivational training to increase product knowledge and elevate their understanding of TRG's products and services.


  • Convert training and technical material into web-ready media tools such as videos, how-to manuals, demonstrations, etc.


  • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or GED preferred


  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)


  • Prior manufacturing experience required


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and welding techniques and methods.


  • Ability to weld steel


  • Ability to pass weld test


  • Ability to read blueprints


  • Ability to pass tape measure testing
