Job Summary:


  • Lead development of Design FMEAs for YFI Interiors and collaborate with other business units to ensure the foundation has a common format using templates of DFMEAs, PFMEAs and Control Plans.

  • Audit the evidence and self-assessment from engineering team for design and requirements signoff at each program milestone event.

Key Responsibilities


  • Capable of approaching challenges/problems and vertically drilling down to subsystems and elements involved, and reconciling gaps and contradictions

  • Coordination across cross functional teams (testing, engineering, quality, operations, etc.)

  • Tracking the failure within the programs, then working with technical experts and program teams to ensure the issue is added to the FMEA as part of knowledge management.

  • Tracking FMEA and updating FMEA timelines together with the project team

  • Moderate the transition of Design FMEA to PFMEA and establishment of significant characteristics

  • Develop and Conduct user training for FMEA related topics

  • Review regulatory and design requirements then ensure the requirements are captured in the DFMEA

  • Support the transition to AIAG & VDA Design FMEA guideline/requirement.

Education: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3- 5 (minimum) years of experience including in automotive design/manufacturing

  • Master of Engineering is preferred or MBA is preferred.

Qualifications and Key skills:


  • Experience in development of product DFMEAs

  • Knowledge of FMEA methods in accordance with AIAG and VDA

  • Experience with PLATO FMEA software preferred

  • Key attributes include - motivated, team spirited, confident and flexible. 

  • Experienced in presentations and moderation techniques

  • Knowledge of APQP
