Job Description:

The CWES (Child Welfare and Emergency Services) Shift Leader is responsible for leading the Emergency Services Specialists and directing the activities during each shift. The Shift Leader provides supervision and care for clients while maintaining an atmosphere of safety and respect. The Shift Leader provides a structured daily living routine, ensure client's basic needs are being met, and serving as the primary staff for assigned clients and liaison for parents/guardians. Shift Leaders are responsible for completing client intakes and incident reports and for training other direct care staff in the completion of these duties. They are also responsible for facilitating group sessions and recreation. Shift Leaders will ensure all daily documentation (intakes/discharges, all client logs, incident reports, drills, etc.) is completed prior to the end of each worked shift.
