Cognizant’s Digital Business Consulting practice is seeking a Site Reliability Consulting lead with experience in digital transformation, as well as leading and advising clients in SRE for large and complex digital programs.  You will be part of a professional technology services consulting team that works on Continuous Delivery Transformation and Quality Transformation offerings.  You are ideal for this role if you have a passion for high quality and have led clients through their digital transformation journey. You are comfortable working side by side with client leaders, product managers, and engineers, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable high-quality solutions to clients and their users. Responsibilities

• Bring thought leadership in the Site Reliability Engineering space


• Mindshare with strategic clients on SRE best practices & its integral play with DevOps practices


• Develop SRE programs for the Global 2000 clients


• Work with CD guild team, lead the opportunities in the SRE space and win the client confidence


• Master SRE Coach, advice customer teams by combining software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems.


• Work with communities to create integrated offerings


• Work in POD model to deliver consulting engagements and collaborate with leaders/consultants from other guilds


• Strategy/planning to train the Continuous Delivery Transformation guild on new practices, solutions and tools

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in any STEM program (or equivalent experience)


• Overall 12-15 years in IT/ Technology Consulting 


• Strong consulting leadership and client advisory capabilities


• Demonstrated experience in SRE Frameworks and technologies for large and complex digital programs with systems of engagement demanding very high reliability


• Must have experience in engineering & operational strategies to reach system availability and reliability goals (chaos engineering strategies)


• Consulted and delivered SRE solutions for Cloud services (AWS, GCP, MS Azure) and Digital platform based business solutions


• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.


• Experience mentoring and grooming staff/future leaders

SRE Required Technologies:

• Strong skills in Cloud Native Services (AWS or MS Azure preferred) in a production context


• Knowledge of automation frameworks and tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible) and experience handling in a production environment


• Java, Scripting (Python),


• Systems & Network Engineering, understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems


• Experience in deployments and configuration of custom applications with self-monitoring and self-healing capabilities 


• Strong in application profiling, system scalability, monitoring and performance engineering with alerting process and tools


• Knowledge in design & architecture, system operations, resiliency & security hardening


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
