Currently, we have a number of projects that need strong, experienced Magento Developers and/or Architects. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

• Minimum of > 3 years of Magento 2 Community / Enterprise Edition Experience


• Having > 5 years of Magento 1 Community / Enterprise Edition Experience is extra advantage


• Experience with designing & developing new modules or extending core modules on admin, frontend, API layers with single store and multi store implementations


• Experience with core customizations by adding, extending, removing modules


• Designing product catalog taxonomy including proper UDTs (custom attributes)


• Designing SEO strategy for commerce platform. Using Admin to implement.


• Designing International, multistore front commerce within 1.x, 2.x


• Optimizing performance for front, middle, and back-end tiers.


• Designing frontend UI using out of box theme or by building completely new


• Developing integrations for ERP, OMS, WMS, WCS, Stream Management, and PIM


• Design product strategy utilizing basic, configurable, and multi-configurable types.


• Expert understanding of Caching strategies for Magento on FPC, Products, block


• Expert understanding on magento2 design patterns usage, frontend Require JS / Knockout Js usage


• Having experience with frameworks like Laravel or other CMS’s like Drupal, WordPress, ShopWare are extra advantage

Technology

• Experience with older and current versions of PHP and how it can affect different Magento implementations


• Proficient in Linux both RHEL and Ubuntu


• Proficient with CDN technologies and how to implement


• Proficient with LEMP (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP)


• Expert understanding of source control, deployment strategies (CICD)


• Expert understanding of security (SELinux, Firewalld, etc)


• Experience with installing and configuring Magento platform in both simple and distributed systems


• Basic understanding on one or more front end technologies (REACT, Knockout, Angular, Bootstrap, Node)


• Basic understanding of Docker container and orchestration (k8s) both local and cloud.

Work Related

• Experience with Leading Teams and working with on/offshore developers.


• Experience with Jira / confluence or something comparable.


• Experience with tools for diagraming and teaching others how to implement solutions.

Project Related

• Experience in integrations with Magento and outside systems using various techniques such as using API, ETL, Flat Files will be extra advantage


• Experience with producing RFPs and architecture documentation


• Experience in using Jira as a PM tool
