Summary

 

Works with customer service manager in the coordination and scheduling of workflow within or between various manufacturing locations and with customer loading and shipping to expedite a positive customer experience while maintaining a safe and clean efficient operation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 


  • Provides employee training

  • Oversees daily work of employees

  • Working in conjunction with Customer Service Manager

  • Warns, disciplines, or terminates employees not working to company standards

  • Processes daily production schedule

  • Assigns duties to site employees

  • Maintains site equipment with the help of outside vendors

  • Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards

  • Enforces all health and safety policies onsite

  • Ensures that all deadlines are met

  • Assists employees in on-site health or safety emergencies

  • Assists with equipment and machinery repair as available

  • Operates shop machinery such as forklifts, loaders, or manufacturing equipment

  • Ensures that site area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material

  • Maintains & Advances Amcor (5) fundamental beliefs (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Housekeeping, Preventive Maintenance)

  • Ability to efficiently use ERP systems

  • Willing to work in all roles of the site

Requirements / Education / Experience

  • Able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

  • High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of experience or a combination of experience and education

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

  • Proven supervisory experience required

 

Work Environment

 


  • The majority of working hours will be spent on the job participating in distribution processes and leading/directing site team

  • Weekend hours will be required

  • Standard 40-hour workweek applies, overtime may be required as needed

  • Remain compliant to plant PPE requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time

  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

Compensation


  • Hourly rate ranges from $25-28/hour
