Pricing Analyst Working with sales, business unit operations, product management, finance, and accounting to determine adequate pricing for healthcare software products and related services. Completes price quotes in support of sales opportunities and manages and creates profitability models and manages approval process on a deal-by-deal basis.

Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing price quotes and managing the financial profile of complex deals.


• Preparing, seeking approvals for, and presenting price quotes for new offerings that are not perfectly defined.


• Developing pro forma profitability forecasts for complex sales deals.


• Developing and designing plans and strategies to support the sales organization.


• Partnering with others on process improvement projects.

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.


• Minimum of three years' related experience; five or more years preferred.


• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.


• Advanced analytical and mathematical skills.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


• Knowledge of the payer side of the healthcare industry preferred.


• Knowledge of software principles and IT hardware as well as staff augmentation or business process outsourcing preferred.


• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.


• Advanced organizational skills.


• Advanced comprehension skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $(60,000.00 – 75,000.00) depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
