Position Summary
This position will provide Materials Project Leader as a key member in the Global Absorbent Development Team. The role focuses on leading multiple or large, complex material project initiatives across multiple business units in KCNA and/or globally from idea through commercialization. The role includes developing and implementing absorbent materials for diapers, diaper pants, training pants and adult care products and working with external and internal vendors, product and process developers as well as cross-functional business unit team members. Responsibilities include understanding and translating customer needs, working with GNW and external suppliers to identify and develop material solutions to meet those needs, prove technical feasibility, and move them through commercialization. This leader will develop program strategy planning and execution for projects and will be expected to provide frequent updates and communication to business leaders as well as broad cross-functional extended teams. Additionally, the role will provide coaching and mentorship to team members and be required to interact effectively with managers and technical leaders in the organization. Incumbent will carry out all work ensuring effective Safety and Quality attitudes and practices. Some travel required (5-15%) to effectively manage projects, execute materials projects with suppliers and mills, and build partnerships.
