Job Description:

Provide exceptional value and customer service. Liaison to establish communicate and maintain administrative support, metrics and reporting between Sales, Operations, and the Customer. Provide value and administrative support throughout the intermodal chassis quotation to build and delivery process. Administer a smooth transition of the customer order through engineering, manufacturing, and quality control. Ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction through fulfillment, creation and provision of internal production, inspection and logistic reporting and requirements. Support the sales process, where needed, to enhance and maintain onsite interdepartmental communication for mutual understanding and cooperation. Will also be called on to troubleshoot throughout the sales process and post-sale requirements. Establish and maintain contact relationship responsibility for the Customers operations and logistics management and administrative contacts. Work to provide exceptional value and Stoughton market share. Provide continuous improvement, operational excellence and lean process enhancement and value. Support of all aspects of the customer relationship both internally and externally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop/Maintain a positive business partnership with strategic customers, in some cases acting as primary contact and in others to support other sales professionals within Stoughton to increase market share/revenue and long-term profitability.
· Identify opportunities with current and future customers to increase long term revenue and strategic relationships. Develop those opportunities.
· Work with customer, vendors, and internal departments to develop solutions/recommendations to customer problems/wants, reduce overall cost of ownership, and increase Stoughton's value to customer.
· Work directly with engineering/purchasing/production/vendors to ensure customers equipment specs and expectations are met for each order and to develop new solutions for products based on customer feedback.
· Provide input and reporting to support the ISO9001 process, management, and administration.
· Manage the sales order and specification entry process following the process throughout, including communications with engineering, production, purchasing and quality, as necessary.
· Supplement Stoughton Quality on the shop floor to be sure customer is getting the quality, specification and details customer is expecting.
· Communicate with vendors as necessary to get information and if necessary, develop specifications and coordinate with them to meet the customer's wants/needs. Does include some negotiation.
· Assist in preparation and/or Audit quotations for targeted customers, assist in the response to RFQ's in a timely fashion to meet the customer's needs.
· Ethically perform job with the highest level of integrity as a representative of the company.
· Present options/recommendations to customers based on understanding of customers business and operations.
· Support Stoughton and customers and be active in trade organizations through social media and attend industry events as needed. (ex. IANA)
· Work with customers' staff in field, management team to follow-up on Stoughton products and competitors in the field. Continuously striving to understand the customer's business and improve total cost or other objectives individual, specific customers have.
· Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to Company policy.
· Work in the management and preparation of product operation manuals in accordance with Customer requirements.
· Work closely with Warranty, Stoughton Parts Sales to be sure we are supporting the customer completely/properly.
· Manage the transportation of trailers and customer required status reporting requirements in conjunction with Stoughton Logistics to end user locations.
· Coordinate customer inspections, tours, updates, backlogs, schedules,
· Provide field training support, presentations to customer's management and field staff as required.
· Participate and assist in research and data mining for forecasting and budget creation activities. Maintain CRM and communicate regularly to proactively manage opportunities and orders as necessary.
· Any other task as necessary to support Director of Intermodal Sales.
· Learn/be aware of industry legislative and technology developments.
Ensure all customer furnished materials, decals, etc. are coordinated with Sourcing and Operations.
