While reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will support engineering activity related to design, development, manufacturing and implementation of both custom designed solutions and customer provided requests.
What you'll be doing:
Complete and submit all applicable design release documentation to support new product launches or current product changes.
Provide support to all areas (sales, mfg. data management, costing) throughout the entire Product Commercialization process.
Conduct in house and commercial product testing per applicable test protocols. This will include providing test quotes, scheduling and performing tests, product inspection and report generation, customer follow up, billing, and disposition of tested product.
Maintaining lab test equipment with routine maintenance and required calibrations.
Must be capable of producing prototypes from standard wood shop equipment. This equipment includes: Table saws, band saws, planers, chop saws, hand drills, drill press, sanders, mills, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment for peers, and visitors.

You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Package Engineering or related field
Must have a general knowledge of the functionality, and performance characteristics of a variety of protective packaging materials used in the Transport Packaging industry. These materials include, but are not limited to, corrugated fiberboard, shape molded foam, paper honeycomb, molded and extruded plastics, and a variety of tapes, adhesives, and fasteners.
Ability to understand and follow a variety of packaging test protocols from customer and industry affiliates.
Candidates must be able to work with 2D and 3D CAD programs (Creo, Solidworks).
