Assembler, Small Magnetics ($500.00 bonus) at Ultra Global Business Services in Yaphank, New York

Job Description:

The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.

New Assembler employees will receive a $500 (before taxes) bonus - paid out after a positive 90 day review (must be in good standing). The candidate must have remained working/employed with Ultra.

The Assembler, Small Magnetics dutiesinclude;


  • Wind various transformers and magnetic devices, bobbins, toroid and layer windings


  • Transformer mechanical assembly.


  • Pull winding/layer winding.


  • Soldering of various components


  • Assemble and wire various magnetic components.


Required Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.



  • Technical training or certification or 1+ year ofconsistent work history in:



    • manufacturing/assembly experience or


    • construction, carpentry or


    • automotive




  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.


Desired Skills:


  • Experience working with military grade transformers


  • Winding experience (pull winding/bobbin and layer winding)


  • Willingness to interpret winding sheets, part lists, and mechanical drawings


  • Mechanical assembly and soldering skills including rework


  • Knowledge of wire types and installation systems


  • Previous experience using hand tools


Physical Requirements


  • Willing to lift 15 lbs frequently to a height of 3-4 feet as part of an individual or team lift


  • Alternate between a stationary and non-stationary position for periods greater than 50% of the time each day


  • Constantly operate wire winding machinery while detecting imperfections in small, medium and large windings
