Job Description

The Marketing Materials Specialist focuses on print production and digital asset management. This position reports directly into the Director of Marketing Services. This role aligns closely with marketing project managers, creative agencies, and production vendors to procure print production services. The Marketing Materials Specialist is the subject matter expert for print parameters and purchasing and is responsible for the execution of print projects, managing the digital asset library and licensing files. This position has strong relationships with suppliers and aligns internal and external stakeholders to confirm that projects' follow the brand parameters, comply with policies and procedures, ensure material quality and yields competitive pricing. Responsible for executing a variety of projects from simple to complex.

The Marketing Materials Specialist oversees the production from ideation of creation with creative agency through print vendor selection. This position oversees all aspects of print production through driving logistical support to get to market on time and on budget. This person is also responsible for managing the Digital Asset Management (DAM) process, ensuring all owned material is added to the system and catalogued appropriately.

Essential Functions:


  • Provides guidance on print projects from ideation through production, scheduling and ensuring timely delivery

  • Responsible for obtaining and negotiating estimates and purchasing print production

  • Ensure quality outputs and client requested specifications were followed prior to delivery

  • Initiates best practices in order to improve operational efficiencies and continually improve procedures and processes

  • Ensures compliance with the Digital Asset Management (DAM) process

  • Helps develop process for print production and digital asset management

  • Regularly monitors existing Digital Library to ensure proper and consistent taxonomy

  • Creates and prepares reports as necessary to communicate and evaluate information

  • Analyze, review and approve usage rights documentation

  • Participate in status meetings as applicable

  • Ensures material development processes are followed

  • Manages the Marketing PI development and process

  • Coordinate with Labeling and Regulatory Operations on PI label updates, ISI Updates and launch, brief summaries and translation

  • Updating SOPs and work instructions as well as input into other's SOPs- EDMS, Marketing PIs

  • Digital Asset Library management

  • Print production for all Brands and PS&R

  • Assist Brands with Premium items (coordination and distribution) where needed

  • Manage Purchase Orders for print production

  • Lead the Veeva PromoMats updates for MNK, including testing, issues, etc.

  • Oversee print production process/Process Enhancements - determine, discuss, develop and implement for print production/vendor and communicating

  • Oversee warehousing & distribution for HUB

  • Managing Shutter stock account users

  • Inventory Management

Experience

Bachelor's degree with at least 3 to 5 years of Pharmaceutical Marketing Experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Acrobat Pro. Strong customer service skills. Experience in print production. Knowledge of promotional review process and digital asset management. Strong communications skills.

Skills/Qualifications: Excellent organizational, planning skills, interpersonal, written and verbal communications, problem solving, project management and decision-making. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Capacity to work well with a diverse set of personalities and departments at all levels of management. Must have ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and be adaptable to change. Strong team player who is able to work independently. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Adobe Pro and an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
