Job Summary

Content Marketing Strategist

The Content Marketing Strategist creates data-driven content strategies to support the business objectives of NetApp's revenue marketing organization. The Strategist also writes copy and content, coordinates with a variety of in-house and external agencies, and works with production managers to deliver highly engaging, unexpectedly clever and audience-aligned content across multiple media, including digital content, blogs, video, and events.

The ideal candidate will have strong strategic skills, superb communication and writing talent, and the ability to adapt to a highly dynamic environment. The Strategist is expected to develop a deep understanding of NetApp's products and services, while pushing the creative envelope to create unique, compelling content in the NetApp brand. The Strategist also relies on the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a wide range of technical and business leaders.

Specific duties include:

• Content initiation, ideation, planning and creation


• Creation of input/creative briefs


• Overseeing agency relationships


• Ensuring alignment with brand, legal, partners


• Content lifecycle optimization


• Building customer journeys around business objectives


• Understanding an executing around SEO and audience optimization

Job Requirements

• Developing detailed marketing strategy; working with product development managers and market research managers to determine demand for products and services offered.


• Identifying potential markets, for example, business firms, wholesalers, retailers, government, or the general public.


• Developing pricing strategy to balance profit margins with customer satisfaction; monitoring trends for new products and services and overseeing product development.


• Working with advertising and promotion managers to promote products and services and to attract potential customers.
