Qualifications for Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice
To be accepted as a maintenance mechanic apprentice the applicant must:
Have achieved minimum required test scores on the pre-apprenticeship test. These tests are administered electronically through CCC. Need to apply at careers.greenheck.com Human Resources will follow up and give required paperwork for testing if you meet qualifications.
Not have a safety-related and/or work rule reprimand for at least 12 months prior to the posting date.
Not have more than four attendance points prior to the posting date.
Must be flexible to work at any NC facility and on any shift (with reasonable notice).
Be selected as the most qualified candidate based upon work experience, past education and other relevant factors, following an interview conducted by a subgroup of trades employees and management in the NC Apprenticeship Committee.
Be able and willing to successfully complete continuing education classes both during regular work hours and during other hours as required.
Lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Be able to learn necessary skills and retain this knowledge in order to complete work assignments in a timely manner and perform them within accepted quality levels.
Be able to perform in a team environment and also be self-directed as situations dictate.
Have a good understanding of Greenheck safety standards and follow procedures.
Have basic computer skills and be able to author work history detail into our maintenance software.
