Job Summary


Spot (by NetApp) is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern to drive our growth in the United States. This is an opportunity to join a young rocketship that is now on a very steep growth trajectory as part of NetApp. We have helped customers such as Ticketmaster, Duolingo, VMWare and Demandbase to reduce the amount of human effort required to manage their Cloud infrastructure -- for web applications, container workloads, big data processing, and more. Our technology allows DevOps and Engineering teams to spend less time managing infrastructure, while better optimizing costs.

As a Sales Development Representative Intern, you will be an important member of the sales organization, playing a critical role in qualifying leads, profiling customers, and providing input on which sales campaigns generate the best leads all while receiving mentorship and real hand-on experience as to what a day in the life would look like as a Sales Professional. Working in collaboration with your global peers, marketing, account managers and the partner channel, your objective is to identify and create qualified opportunities.


Sales Development Representative Intern


As a DSR Intern, you will be responsible for marketing the company's products and/or services with prospects via telephone, email or social media networks. Generates prospective customers through cold calling, qualifies and nurtures leads within associated SLA requirements. Qualified leads are typically directed to the field and/or sales team for close. Qualify marketing leads in a fast yet efficient manner through multiple channels while working closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless process.

Job Requirements



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order to work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross-functional teams to meet performance goals.

  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment.

  • Experience with Excel.

  • Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving.

  • Travel to the prospective customer's sites as necessary.


Experience


Must beenrolled in an educational or professional program through August 2021 or later.

This program is for Summer 2021 (May - August).
