Position Description:




The Employee Relations (ER) Specialist will act as a trusted advisor to PIMCO's Human Resources team, business clients, Legal and senior leadership, focusing on a broad range of projects to assist with the build of the newly created ER function. Within this role, you will work with the Head of HR and senior HR leadership, to create scalable global ER strategies and programs to develop the next phase of the ER function. From thinking through ER-related processes to creating the workflow for how ER will collaborate with the HRBP function and internal/external counsel, the focus will not only be on working through ER issues, but alsochallenging, implementing and improving 'how' this is done. The position covers the US businesses with global interaction.











Position Requirements:




* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of progressive investigatory or employee relations experience. Financial services industry experience a plus but not required

* Experience working in a matrix organization, effectively collaborating across functional areas and exposure to global offices to ensure that ER initiatives align as appropriate across the broader organization

  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, and standard methodologies in conducting workplace investigations

* Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail

  • Commercial and creative thinker - experience of strong evidence based problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and an intuitive sense of business acumen
  • Experience working with HR Information Systems (Workday, Service Now, etc.) and case management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team and has a bias-to-action, results-oriented approach to work; willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team

  • High EQ and emotional maturity team player; strong collaborator, straight-forward with strong work ethic and high integrity

  • Ability to interface and partner with HR and non-HR stakeholders to achieve results
