Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is looking for an OVER THE ROAD (OTR) -CDL Driver in Conley, to deliver all loads in a safe and timely manner according to both LSI policy and DOT requirements.

This position is based out of Valpo, IN.

Rate: $19.00 per hour for unloading, $.58 per mile (2500 to 3000 miles a week), 5% yearly safety bonus, and $40 a day per diem meal allowance! Home weekly. Truck Drivers - Hiring Immediately!

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver OTR (bulk truck- backup driver) loads in a safe and timely manner (National Carrier/ Canada included)




• Follow procedures for transporting hazardous materials according to LSI policy and DOT requirements




• Ensure equipment maintenance and all safety equipment are up to date as required by LSI and DOT




• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions by utilizing computer equipment, GPS, or other navigational devices to minimize fuel consumption




• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to operations




• Unload truck, wearing PPE, and check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods. Clean all unloading area and equipment.




• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, radiator fluid, etc., and/or performing minor repairs as needed.




• Know state laws in all areas traveled and make sure all permits and placards are correct and up to date accordingly.




• Operate equipment, such as cab computers, CB radios, phones, and GPS, and necessary to perform job duties.




• Maintain truck driver logs in accordance with DOT regulations. As well and maintaining IComply and other company requirements.

Key requirements:

• High School grad or GED required.




• 3+ years of experience as a CDL Driver.




• Class A CDL license




• Required Endorsements: H, N, or X ; Tanker; Hazmat; bulk endorsement, passport, and Twix card.




• 3 Week Training Program Provided




• Able to pass DOT physical.




• Load and unload trailers.
