Harris Local Government’s Print & Mail department serves local government organizations. Our services consist primarily of printing and mailing utility bills, tax notices and related items. From the simplest interaction or print job to large complex jobs, we know our customers’ needs, and we strive to exceed their expectations. 

We're looking for a Print & Mail Manager to become a key member of our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a specialist in the print and mail industry with at least 3 years of experience. We are looking for a candidate who fosters and promotes a culture of service, excellence, and accountability.

What will be your impact:

• Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day, onsite operations of a 3-person team, providing technical and operational leadership; delegate tasks and communicate priorities, lending a hand when needed.


• Ensure all production schedule deadlines are met; raise concerns early and identify and resolve open issues that prevent progress.


• Manage the space and equipment. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, and that the equipment usage and space are maximized for efficiency. Troubleshoot any printer issues and coordinate needed repairs with vendors.


• Manage and ensure adequate inventory is on-hand when needed.


• Serve as the point person on site for customer issues and contract compliance.


• Exercise strong customer service skills to resolve customer incidents; respond promptly to customer calls and inquiries; investigate and resolve problems related to customer service or vendor performance.


• Identify process improvement or cost saving opportunities and provide specific documentation regarding problem identification and possible solutions.


• Provide monthly financials to the corporate Finance team including invoices, accounts payable approvals and inventory counts.


• Work with Director to ensure forecast, profitability and growth targets are met; develop annual forecast.


• Responsible for the selection and evaluation of staff; training and employee development; determining the most effective use of resources.


• Provides input to Sales and Marketing regarding planning and activities


• During busy, seasonal times, function as an Operator on the production floor, helping the team.

What we are looking for:              

• Considerable knowledge of Print and Mail production printers, inserters, software, and other equipment.


• Considerable knowledge of Process Improvement best practices and change management.


• 3+ years of experience in print production management.
