Responsibilities
Dematic is looking for a Procurement Category Lead to join our winning team. This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned professionals to develop, communicate and execute world class category strategies that mitigate risk, ensure top line growth and drive bottom line savings. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Procurement Regional Category Leads, Project Management, Engineering, Solutions Development, Finance, A/P, Quality and others while taking on large, regional spend within our growing organization, positioning Dematic for future success.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Own, document, communicate and gain buy-in for category strategies for spend under management.
Research, select, develop and maintain adequate sources of supply to ensure the requirements of the categories are met with the optimum quality, service and cost to use.
Ability to negotiate with suppliers successfully by:
Analyzing the market and supply dynamics
Develop counterarguments, opening positions, and negotiation trading plans to prepare for multiple negotiation scenarios
Align on acceptable negotiation outcomes by engaging internal stakeholders
Lead the development of risk analyses, assessments and mitigation plans for categories of spend to proactively protect against supply interruptions.
Develop and execute plans to quickly and effectively react to unforeseen supply interruptions.
Comprehend and provide constructive input on legal contract documents related to business Terms & Conditions, pricing, delivery, etc.
Utilize financial acumen to develop cost models/should cost analysis and thoroughly understand key market drivers and how they affect price, availability, or supply chain logistics.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related discipline
8 or more years of relevant Regional or Global Procurement experience
Project based business Procurement roles or experience managing integrated automated technology, software and services to optimize supply chain is a plus but not mandatory
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong quantitative, cost modeling, and data analysis skills
Operates with minimal business direction
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in procurement processes and driving business results through influence and leadership
Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred experience in SAP and MS Teams.
