The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a CNC Operator you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Programs and Operates CNC and manual machining equipment to finish product to Shop Order requirements, prints and drawings.

  • Fabricates products, jigs, fixtures and etc. according to prints and drawings.

  • Performs changeover tasks and in-process inspections.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:


  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start).

  • Experience in a manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment, preferably in non-woven fibers, web coating or a related industry.

  • Combined experience grinding and/or machining experience in a manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment, preferably in non-woven fibers, web coating or a related industry.

  • Work 2nd Shift (3PM – 1:30AM, Monday - Thursday), ability to work on weekends, working overtime, rotating shifts, and/or short notice shift coverage.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Production and inspection experience to perform duties. Operate equipment following department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).

  • Must be able to use basic measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, protractors, and etc.) to ensure product meets specifications.

  • Must be able to understand basic CAD drawings/prints.

  • Must possess and be able to demonstrate basic computer skills.

  • Must be able to set up and operate CNC machines.
