Job Description:

At Appriss Retail, we are continually innovating and creating new software products for our customers who are some of the largest retailers in the world. These software products are designed to help retailers grow their revenue and profitability while continually improving the consumer experience they offer. Our innovation department, which this role reports to, is responsible for developing and bringing to market commercial product offerings that are fit for purpose based on our extensive internal experience and those experiences of our retail customers.

This role will be highly varied and will provide exposure to many areas of our commercial business. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assisting the innovations and go to market teams in how we research our objectives, position our products, understand our competitors, produce business cases, and augment our business to be successful.

Exposure will be given to key decision makers in the business who will provide exposure as to how business significant business decisions are debated, evaluated, and made.

This internship will be remote.

  • Understanding the process of taking an idea from thought to product

  • Building a business case

  • How to make strategic decisions in complex environments

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key pieces of analysis work either individually or as part of an international team. There will be many small projects all which support the overarching launch of a new solution to market. You will be responsible for a wide array of deliverables which you will be coached and given direction by a member of the senior leadership team of the business.

Minimum Requirements


  • Working towards (in progress) and MBA or undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Business Studies or similar fields.

  • GPA of 3.25 or above

Qualifications


  • This role will require a level of individual initiative, the tasks set will be high level goals to which a candidate will be mentored to achieve but will require the individual to be a free thinker to explore ways to achieving the end goal.

  • Ability to write a whitepaper or thought leadership document or presentation

  • Analytical skills, the ability to determine patterns / themes based on results / outcomes being observed

  • Proficiency in standard desktop tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or equivalent
