Role Summary


Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Information Technology Services provides strategic direction, planning and oversight of all aspects of IT HelpDesk and Infrastructure departments to ensure IT Service deliverables are effective, efficient, meet stakeholder requirements and remain within corporate standards.  


 


Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions



  • Serves as the primary liaison between business units and IT services staff; routinely interacting with Executives, Managers and Supervisors from all lines of business to analyze requirements and ensure IT Services projects are prioritized and resourced to meet the Bank’s strategic objectives.

  • Prioritizes technology initiatives and coordinates the evaluation, deployment, management, and communication of current and future technologies.

  • Develops and communicates business/technology alignment plans to Executive Management, staff, partners, and the Board of Directors.

  • Responsible for governance processes for the bank’s IT architecture, telecommunications, networks and desktops.

  • Oversees IT Services escalation procedures to ensure proper and timely resolution of critical issues, and monitors HelpDesk ticketing system for consistency and professionalism throughout each response.

  • Directs the development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

  • Develops, implements, maintains, and oversees the enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.

  • Oversees all aspects of IT hardware and software deployments, system upgrades, and patch management.

  • Conducts research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations.

  • In coordination with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), acts as liaison for the company’s technology vision via regular written and in-person communications with Executives and Board.

  • Supervises the recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all technical staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

  • Ensures continuous delivery of technical services (3 – 9s) through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.

  • Ensures equipment and software operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and corporate standardization policies.

  • Manages the administration of all computer security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.

  • Develops and monitors the security and technical services annual operating budgets for purchasing, staffing, and IT operations.

 


Your Experience



  • 4 year degree required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business preferred.

  • 10+ years of managing IT Services required.

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required.

  • 5+ Years of Banking industry experience preferred. 

  • Ability to think and manage strategically, and to objectively analyze and evaluate issues to make an informed decision.

  • Significant experience with computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and information security.

  • Broad knowledge of bank operations in a large bank environment.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and executive presence.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
