Supervisor, Fraud Prevention

The goal of the Fraud Prevention department is to significantly reduce the chances that any Synnex company, any Synnex customer or any Synnex vendor will become a victim of fraud. Should this happen, the Fraud Prevention department will do all they can to assist with the recovery of the lost property. The department will make use of Synnex system tools, technologies, training, and a large network of people in many disciplines to do this.

The Supervisor will support these goals by supporting the Fraud Analysts, possibly doing their jobs on very busy days. In addition, the Supervisor documents each incident and maintains fraud records, helps to recover fraudulently obtained product should any be lost, all the while looking critically at our systems and expanding our network of people and resources. The Supervisor also supports the manager of the department.

  • Reviews & releases orders, as needed after learning our guidelines.

  • Has day to day responsibility for the Fraud Analysts, making sure that they know their jobs, are doing their jobs, helping them as needed and keeping them happy as valued members of the Fraud Prevention team.

  • Prepares reports on each fraud attempt and fraud loss by identifying and documenting the victim, the method used by the fraudsters, what happened, etc., and recording all of the information in a fraud database.

  • Meets weekly with the Analysts and the manager to share the past week's events with each other and share their concerns and their ideas with each other and you. Discuss the meeting content with the manager before and after the meeting.

  • Works with the manager to gather information on fraud throughout the company, not only fraud against Sales but other departments from Customer Service to Finance to A/P.

  • Does a monthly summary of fraud attempts and fraud losses and help prepare the monthly PowerPoint Presentation for upper management.

  • Develops a set of internal and external contacts including key people in SYNNEX and Hyve, industry, carriers, and law enforcement.

  • Is on call during non-standard work hours as needed.

Your Passion is Sparked By:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent like specialized training in Fraud, Finance or criminology preferred coupled with 4-6 years of related experience.

  • Experienced with BEC.

  • Experience with financial fraud a big plus.

  • Prior Supervisory experience of a team a big plus.

  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and ideally Access.

  • Experience using a Corporate Information System.

  • Experience with the recovery of fraudulently obtained product.

  • Experienced makings important judgment calls, often quickly and often under time pressure in accordance with our guidelines while remaining calm, objective, and thoughtful. There are moments when this is not an easy job.

  • Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and amiably with all levels of internal and external customers even when the situation is a little tense. Good listening skills are very helpful in such situations.

Colorado Hiring Base Salary Range

$59,500 - $140,500

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of the offer.
