The Modification Technician 1 will be responsible for servicing the daily material handling needs of the Modification Center as well as assisting in the completion of modifications. This position requires very strong mechanical aptitude along with a quality control oriented mindset.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Responsible for picking components and moving material associated with modifications.
  • Responsible for stocking and staging product.
  • Responsible for packaging orders for shipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area and following departmental 5S guidelines.
  • Responsible for identifying defects and reporting errors in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize available software and other technical systems that impact job performance.
  • Backfill other team members as required.

Required Candidate Qualifications and Skills include:
• Strong technical aptitude, knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems a plus.

• Experience with material handling equipment (reach truck, order picker, dock stocker).

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Critical reasoning skills with the ability to identify problems and communicate issues.

• Experience with inventory management systems. Oracle experience is a plus.

• Ability to utilize common pneumatic and electric tools required.
• Must be able to understand and follow detailed instructions, skillfully identify and prioritize problems and elevate them to supervision.

• Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.

• Ability to continually lift, or pull with a force up to 50 pounds.
