Responsibilities

Sabre Systems, Inc. is currently seeking highly motivated, experienced Server Engineer interested in being be part of an innovative team providing long term support for Navy's E6 Mercury (TACAMO). The Server Engineer's role is to design, install, administer, and optimize Program servers and related components to achieve high performance of the various mission functions supported by the servers as necessary. Candidates should be organized and detail-oriented, with good analytical and communications skills.

As the program Server Engineer, you will oversee setting up and maintaining the servers and networks for the program. This includes connecting workstations to the network and monitoring the network for any potential issues. This also includes keeping the network operating at maximum efficiency. The Server Engineer will have extensive knowledge of and experience with installation, configuration, and integration, backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers and peripheral systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure servers are running efficiently by performing, resolving technical problems, overseeing their activity levels, ensuring server security, and developing new system structures when necessary.
• Manage various other types of computing equipment that makes up part of the network. This includes workstations and network appliances like routers and switches.


• Install, configure, and maintain various types of hardware and software


• Create and maintain access accounts


• Perform backup and recovery functions


• Monitor Server performance


• Configure, manage, and implement operating systems


• Work with the IT team to design and deploy secure server processes


• Participate in the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of technology projects.


• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and other related devices.


• Work with other team members to evaluate technology needs, administer the network environment


• Help train team members and Aircrew on the use of new technologies


• Remain current with the latest developments in technology


• Recommend upgrades, modifications, and improvements

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 3 years of experience


• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA 2012)


• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)


• Must have Security+ certification


• Candidates must have an active DOD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance


• Candidate must pass a background investigation
