Scheduling, managing, and problem solving in all aspects of product manufacturing for at least 1 production line.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Scheduling orders to meet customer requirements and balance production
Monitoring and continually organizing the schedule to ensure that the manufacturing workload is properly balanced while looking for opportunities to assist the customer
Communication with order processing personnel on orders
Making sure we have the right material at the right time to satisfy our Customer needs
Focus on providing lead times that enhance order obtainment
Communicate with manufacturing leadership to maintain a smooth order flow
Primary Objectives:
Set clear schedules to follow to obtain productive workflow in the assigned areas for the production group
Work with Master Planner and Department leads to determine appropriate work releases to balance the department(s) Planner is responsible for
Develop and implement communication processes with departments and individuals that simplify information flows and align order fulfillment processes to facilitate problem solving within departments of responsibility
Be customer focused and profit focused
Provide feedback and develop solutions to keep Production departments working successfully and customers' needs met
Specific Job Tasks:
All tasks associated with level loading at least one production line
All tasks associated with managing the inventory required for production orders for a single production line
Running queries used to facilitate releasing schedules for at least 1 production line
Troubleshooting issues with extraction or other preparation of an order for release to a production floor
Acknowledging orders and order changes to customers as appropriate to customers
Other tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree
Willingness to build ownership and commitment.
Microsoft Office Skills with heavy emphasis on Excel
Good organization skills
Close attention to detail and mind for process improvement
Change management, analytical and problem-solving skill set.
Successfully works across diverse functions and levels of the company.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience in inventory management, production flow and leveling, production systems and tools, manufacturing challenges, and supplier/customer relationship management, a plus
Strong decision-making skills; utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes
