React/NodeJS developer at Cognizant in New York, New York

Job Description:

• A full-time Front-End / node.js Developer to build high-performance, logic-intensive, web-based enterprise software.


• Responsibilities will include developing UI components in React.js, utilizing object-oriented JavaScript to visualize complex data sets, and optimizing application performance in the browser.


• Hands on experience developing Web based UI using JavaScript /ReactJS.


• Working knowledge on debugging problems using relevant tools.


• Firm understanding of Object-Oriented principles, design patterns, and software design/architecture best practices.


• Develop new UI components based on design specifications using ReactJS and adhering the style guide.


• Experience using npm and developing node.js projects.


• Build out highly scalable, server-side data processing using node.js.


• Knowledge of current industry coding standards, tools, and best practices


• Ability to write clean, efficient code and hunger for continuous learning and improvement.


• Experience with software performance, unit, functional testing, and benchmarking


• Collaborate with team members and business partners for problem solving, bug fixes, new feature implementations, work planning and code demonstrations.


• Ability to collaboratively work through technical issues in a professional manner, making design considerations and trade-offs as needed.
