OVERVIEW

Responsible for management of company shipping process, personnel and defined shipping KPI's. Responsible for one-hundred percent accuracy of all customer, subcontractor and inter-company material shipments as specified per sales orders. Create and maintain shipment records, including serial number for all orders, as well as final inspection quality records. Responsible for monitoring and requisition of all packaging materials and collateral sales information to fulfill timely order shipment. Research and source consigned freight carriers to ensure value of service and on-time deliveries are achieved at the best possible cost to the company. Work efficiently and safely while maintaining target range on the following KPI's: discrepancies, accidents, repairs, re-cuts, yield, desired ship dates and inventory cycle counts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize data to determine what can ship on a daily basis


• Supervise all final product inspection, packaging, shipment and carrier routing for product within established company QA standards


• Document and maintain all shipment records for customer shipments, including recording of all box contents and serial numbers


• Responsible for maintaining and requisitioning all supplies, collateral and incendiary materials to ensure orders are shipped in full to support OPD and DSD requirements as part of departmental KPI's


• Solicit outbound freight costs, based upon customer delivery requirements, for all domestic orders requiring expediting and/or direct/LTL shipment


• Source international freight carriers and costs with priority based upon value of service and customer delivery requirements


• Consult and advise Customer Service personnel of any order entry discrepancies to ensure order delivery accuracy


• Initiate and maintain KPIs relevant to Shipping Department and assists in the performance of routine QA dock audits prior to product shipment


• Perform other tasks and projects as directed by management


• Rejection of any non-conforming product or sub-assembly


• Initiate shipping routine and method of transportation to ensure time sensitive deliveries


• Associate training and discipline to ensure productivity, attendance and behavior is consistent with company policy


• Daily reassignment of staff, with authority to approve overtime to alleviate manufacturing bottlenecks


• Handling Hazmat shipping/receiving requirements do to the special nature of products we produce.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required


• Preferred Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school


• Previous experience with sales


• Microsoft Office skills


• Problem solving skills


• Strong mathematical skills


• Strong organizational skills
