Job Description

We are currently seeking an Architectural Student Internto join our team. The intern will work remotely June through August 2021. During this internship, you will work with a project team performing basic architectural assignments - receiving specific and detailed instruction as to tasks required and results expected.

• Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Revit.


• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established HOK standards.


• Incorporates integrated sustainable design solutions into projects.


• Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.


• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.


• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.

Required Skills

• Possess basic Revit drafting skills.


• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop.


• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.


• Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 preferred.


• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.


• Basic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.


• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.


• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.


• Ability to work in a virtual team environment.


• Ability to self-motivate while working in a remote environment.

Required Experience

• Currently a 3rd, 4th, or 5th year student enrolled in the architecture program at Tuskegee University.


• Previous internship with an architectural or interior design firm preferred but not required.

This position willbe remote and it is preferred the candidate have their own computer that meets the below technology requirements toperform this role.

• Processor: Intel Core i7 or higher


• RAM: Minimum 16 GB


• Operating System: Windows10, Mac OS X 10.12.6 or higher


• Minimum Internet bandwidth of 20/mbps recommended


• At least one 24" external monitor recommended
