Financial Analyst - Clearance Required

Overview

LMI is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to work with project managers to fund selected technology development efforts, coordinate with receiving organizations to track expenditures and obligations, and conduct analysis of execution year budgets to support office decisions. Candidate represents the government client, providing primary oversight for ~$100 million/year prototyping fund. Candidate will leverage Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), Wide Area Workflow, Congos, other enterprise resource planning systems, and custom tools to create, send, track, and obligate Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs). Candidate will also help develop executive briefs to provide monthly execution status and annual inputs to the budget justification process.

Responsibilities

Accurately track and document status of pending and submittedMIPRs, ensuring full execution of prototyping budget
• Work with receiving organizationto ensure correct information within funding documents and MIPRs to streamline acceptanceof funds


• Provide inputs to annual budget estimate submission process


• Cross check monthly reports and enterprise tools to prevent discrepanciesand ensure accurate and up-to-date information for Director of RRTO and senior leadership


• Support tri-annuals, audits, closeout reviews and other financial assessments


• Provide primary oversight for rapid prototyping fund

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance


• 7 years of relevant DoD financial experience including sending MIPRs, tracking execution and obligation rates, and supporting OSD financial reports


• Demonstrated capability for meticulous, detail-orientedrecord keeping


• Advanced Excel skills, especiallysupporting financialanalysis


• Experience with DoD enterprise financial tools such as DAI, Congos,Execution Management System, Core Financials


• Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree is a plus


• Expert MS Office user


• Experience with funding RDT&E efforts is a plus


• Familiarity with the Comptroller Exhibits for R-2s is a plus


• Also desired is Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) qualification.
