Job Summary

Works with all levels of Management within Corporate Compliance Services to maintain appropriate oversight, administration, and functional operations of the Bank's Compliance Management Program. Assigned areas of operational focus include, but may not be limited to, Compliance Advisory and Complaint Management, Compliance Monitoring and Testing, Compliance Risk Assessment, Mergers and Acquisitions, Regulatory Exam Management and Facilitation, Annual Required Training, and Regulatory Change Management.

Job Accountabilities

• Work on assigned areas of the Compliance Management Program to complete required tasks within established deadlines. Areas of responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, Compliance Advisory and Complaint Management, Compliance Monitoring and Testing, Compliance Risk Assessment, Mergers and Acquisitions, Regulatory Exam Management and Facilitation, Annual Required Training, and Regulatory Change Management.


• Read (for understanding) industry trends, changes in the regulatory environment (based on industry publications), and/or new and updated regulatory guidance, to provide initial analysis of potential impact to the various operational areas of the Bank.


• Work with CCS team and/or various business lines to determine applicability of regulatory guidance and/or updates to applicable guidance. Determine appropriate impact of guidance to assigned areas of responsibility (regulatory change management, compliance testing, risk assessment).


• Facilitate cross-departmental meetings based on assigned areas of responsibility (regulatory exam facilitation, compliance testing/monitoring, risk assessment, annual required training).


• Work with CCS Management providing quarterly and ad hoc reporting of the compliance risk management program.


• Carries out assignments discreetly, effectively and efficiently in sensitive and confidential circumstances. Ensures continuing development of professional relationships with management and colleagues.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Accounting, business, risk management, or equivalent banking experience. Required


• Bachelor's Degree Compliance, Finance, regulatory review, regression, accounting, law or risk management emphasis. Preferred

• 2-4 years Accounting, business, risk management, or equivalent banking experience with focus on operational or regulatory compliance. Required


• 4-7 years Banking regulatory risk management or compliance experience with a focus on Fair Lending, CRA or HMDA programs and evaluations including regression analysis. Preferred

• Other Professional certification in risk management. , Preferred

Compliance Statement

Fully complies with all applicable enterprise policies and procedures. Acts in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in training materials, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act. Responsible for reporting suspicious activity to Financial Intelligence. Responsible to report all customer complaints as prescribed and procedure violations to management or HR. Responsible to report ethical concerns as needed to Associated’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.
