The LanguageLine Product and Technology team is charged with the responsibility of researching, defining, building, and implementing disruptive and industry-leading products and solutions. We employ a pragmatic buy/build/partner approach to the software, hardware, mobile and digital platforms that make up our suite of services.

LanguageLine Solutions, the Global leader of On Demand Interpretation Services, is looking for an experienced Product Analyst. This position contributes to defining and launching new, and enhancing existing products and services. This position performs assessments and analyses supporting market strategies, product strategies, product launches and adoption, and product pricing. This position requires strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work across teams delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

The Product Analyst is a key member of the Product Development and Product Management organizations, responsible for defining, implementing, and expanding LanguageLine's industry-leading suite of products and services. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly analytical, resourceful, and effective at communicating complex analytical scenarios clearly and concisely. The optimal candidate is experienced conducting market and product research, measuring go-to-market success, driving product adoption and achieving product revenue targets.

The successful candidate possesses both a solid technical background that enables him/her to easily interact with Product Engineering team members as well as a business background that enables him/her to collaborate effectively with other teams within the business including: Product Development, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Finance.

Key Essential Functions:

Market and Product Analysis. This role requires high drive for customer satisfaction and delivering on results.


  • Be an advocate for customers and drive innovation on their behalf. Understand and translate market requirements with substantiated customer/market feedback to support the product definition.


  • Anticipate the impact of the changing language access industry and regulatory environment on existing market segments and products and propose strategies, tactics, and new or modified products accordingly.


  • Conduct research and analysis of new product concepts and product modification requests ultimately building a business case including product specifications.


  • Contribute to the preparation of business cases for proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices and product development timelines.


  • Define product requirements including personas, use cases, and detailed specifications.


  • Collaborate on key design considerations and requirements trade-offs.


  • Prepare internal communication and support decision making for product-related issues.


  • Conduct win/loss analysis.


  • Support the sales teams in selling products and growing revenue profitably.


  • Provide analysis and support for buy/build/partner decisions. Support vendor partnerships for telephonic and video hardware/equipment.


  • Support Marketing and Product Management at trade shows, industry events and webinars.


  • Provide input for final product / feature marketing and go-to-market plans.


  • Train sales, implementation and customer service teams on product enhancements.


Additional Functions


  • Provide product input on company initiatives and other projects/tasks.


  • Develop knowledge of competitive products and contribute to analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.


  • Research and understand changing business environments, both external and internal, including but not limited to market factors, customer needs, trends, legal regulations, audit and compliance policies, information security, strategy adjustments, organization strategies, etc.


  • Perform such duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be required.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years experience performing Product Analyst functions in a software-driven industry.


  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable actively engaging with existing and prospective clients in discussions about product features and capabilities, and diving deep into the details of a product requirement with a software or quality assurance engineer.


  • Experience with defining and documenting easy to understand requirements and adept at continuously breaking down a problem and communicating straightforward Epics and Use Cases.


  • Effective at cross-functional communication, ensuring stakeholders have everything needed to collaborate effectively.


  • Proven ability to deliver product features on time, measure go-to-market success, and achieve product revenue targets.


  • Must possess excellent business judgment and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent business experience.


  • Technical aptitude and an interest in new and upcoming technologies to ensure the best possible solutions for clients.


  • Experience with Pragmatic Product Development Methodology and Jobs to be Done (JTBD) Framework.
