Shift Time for this position is 6:00 am to 3:30 pm M-TH, 6:00 am to 10:00 am FRI.

Job Summary

Files, sands, or shapes machined products using hand tools, and power tools, to remove all burrs, tool marks, and to break all sharp edges. May use manual machines or drills to correct small deficiencies. Reads and interprets work orders and related documentation to determine method and sequence of operations and finish specifications. Completes work in high risk areas, and on parts that require special attention to detail. May be required to achieve certification to operate the fork lift and complete fork lift duties as well as perform tasks and be responsible for raw material inventory.

Essential Job Functions

• Clean, file, sand or shape machined product to remove all burrs and tool marks and to break all sharp edges.


• Read and interpret work orders, blue prints, and other job related documentation.


• Visually inspect final product to ensure compliance with blueprint and work order.


• Trims, drills, reams, sands, grinds, saws, and finishes parts to specifications, using hand and power tools.


• Count and secure parts for shipment.


• Works very close with Quality Control (Q.C.), Technician, and Supervisor on special need projects.


• Epicor Data Transactions and issuing material to jobs.

Additional Duties

• Properly Identifies material.


• Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.


• May also be required to:




• Complete raw material receiving.


• Pull and enter inventory.


• Complete fork lift required duties.


• Empty in-house scrap bins.


• Work with scrap "pick up" company


• Other duties, reporting, special assignments or projects as needed and assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience required in a manufacturing environment performing similar functions.


• Use of hand and power tools preferred.


• Good hand-eye coordination.


• Able to sit and work on same part/product for hours.


• Goal-oriented, team player able to work with minimal supervision.


• Strong mechanical skills and good sense of workmanship.


• Forklift experience preferred.


• Able to work under time sensitive deadlines.


• Must be willing to submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with NMG Aerospace (i.e. drug screen, background check, eye exam, hearing exam, etc.) and any subsequent testing required for the position during employment.


• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time.


• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or shop floor to access work supplies, tools, machinery, etc.

Education

• High School diploma or GED
