Our St. Francis hospital is seeking an experienced Pre-Registration Specialist. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in ourPatient AccessDepartment where you will be responsible for:

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills by providing a patient friendly and pleasant pre-registration process to assure that patient and family needs are met in a timely manner. Responsible for accurate pre-registration of patient, communication of St. Francis Health Center policies, financial responsibilities and patient Rights and Responsibilities according to departmental operating procedures. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and EMTALA regulations and other regulatory agencies. Works under the supervision of the Patient Access Director.

Requirements:

*High School Diploma/GED

*Must type 40 wpm; proficient computer skills. Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal; interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients and their families, physician offices, nursing personnel and co-workers

Preferred:
*Two to three years in hospital or physician clinic scheduling and registration
