Job Description:

Summary

The Supply Chain Master Planner will work with Account Managers, Customers, and Operations to understand demand changes and proactively plan demand where appropriate. They will be responsible for balancing:

SERVICE (on time to promised delivery) CASH (inventory management) COST (optimized loading of plant).

Minimum Position Requirements:

• BS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related


• Experience with ERP, inventory and order management, capacity planning, demand planning


• Solid team skills


• Influential leadership skills


• Exceptional analytical ability

Preferred Additional Qualifications of Ideal Candidate:

• Master Planning experience


• Lean/Six Sigma Certification


• 1-2 Years Supply Chain experience

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Demand Planning / Forecasting

Assist Supply Chain Manager in analysis of historical demand, commercial / market intelligence, and customer forecasts to provide a demand forecast to the division.

Develop and manage relationships with internal customers and plants and commercial team

Work with customers to interpret and improve forecast communication.

Work with commercial team to interpret and improve commercial intelligence communication.

Supply Master Planning

Develop Master Planning processes to improve dynamic planning at Hartselle and Jefferson.

Enter internal orders as required.

Manage made to inventory (MTI) program to proactively enter MTI demand

Balance lines and plant to ensure as even workload as possible and minimize changeovers

Represent Supply Chain in weekly scheduling calls to report out on linehours and current load as well as upcoming concerns balancing supply and demand

Inventory Management

Work with commercial team, plants, and service centers to balance service level requirements with inventory levels.

Work with Supply Chain Admin to monitor open orders and ensure accurate inventory levels at service centers.

Provide feedback to senior management on concerns, issues, and requirements

Facilitate prompt resolution of escalated internal and external issues

Displays strong leadership skills and has the ability to motivate and direct others. Participating in setting challenging and achievable goals, training and team building with department

Responsible for execution and achievement of key performance goals. Develop and implement action plans to achieve department goals and support process improvements

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization

Help lead efforts to build and develop supply chain organization and structure
