The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Supervise, mentor and lead a team of engine aftertreatment development engineers in calibration, verification and testing activities as part of the PACCAR global engine organization
Execute continuous process improvement to improve product quality, reliability and durability of the MX engine aftertreatment system
Stays aware of new and upcoming aftertreatment technologies and testing methods
Maintain group work instructions and develops project level test plans
Provide regular project status summaries
Report findings and give recommendations on next steps
Minimum 5 years of work experience in the automotive industry
Proven leadership experience
Strong knowledge of heavy duty diesel emissions regulatory requirements including OBD
Detailed knowledge of current diesel exhaust aftertreatment technology (DOC, DPF, SCR & DEF)
Experience with data collection, analysis and test planning in engine test cell and in vehicle environments
Must be self-directed; possess excellent analysis, communication and presentation skills; must be organized and take a rigorous approach to engineering projects
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Must be able to manage personal workload and have the willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands
Maintain positive working relationship with other groups at PTC and other PACCAR divisions
Ability to travel up to 15% including international travel
