What you will do:

An Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing engineered solutions to complex problems and enhancements to existing designs. This

position requires collaboration with marketing, other intercompany engineering groups, and manufacturing.

How you will do it:


  • Generate engineering documentation and other technical documents.

  • Follow established processes and procedures.

  • Complete projects on schedule.

  • Select suitable electrical components and wiring.

  • Package electrical components and wiring.

  • Troubleshoot electrical components, subsystems and control algorithms.

  • Analyze and review existing electrical and control designs.

  • Translate product design requirements into a recommended solution.

  • Learn system requirements for electrical and mechanical systems on the equipment and the equipment applications.

  • Process Sales Orders.

  • Use (SAP) or other Material Resource Planning software to investigate existing material and BOM’s.

  • Edit Sales Order Bill of Material (BOM) and lower level Bill of Material (BOM).

  • Prepare bills of material using computerized bill of material system.

  • Generate Engineering Change notices when required.

  • Support manufacturing with issues as they arise.

  • Consider manufacturing and services implications in defining design solutions.

What we look for

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and previous engineering work experience or internship.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; ability to work collaboratively with user, development, and support groups; good written

  • and oral communications / organizational / time management skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.

  • Ability to perform theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of control theory, design and application.

  • Knowledge of electrical codes such as UL, CE, NEC and NFPA 70E.

  • Understanding of commercial/industrial control panel design practices.

  • Knowledgeable of electric/electronic diagrams, testing, troubleshooting.

  • Fact based engineering and decision making.

  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio.

  • Knowledgeable of standard technical principles, theories, concepts, techniques and processes.

  • Knowledgeable of electrical systems best practices and electrical safety to generate and analyze designs.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical components, subsystems and control algorithms.

  • Ability to analyze and review existing electrical and control designs.

  • Ability to translate product design requirements into a recommended solution.

  • Ability to learn system requirements for electrical and mechanical systems on the equipment and the equipment applications.

  • Knowledgeable of sensors and actuators used in electrical/electronic control of mechanical systems.

  • Ability to learn to process Sales Orders.

  • Ability to learn (SAP) or other Material Resource Planning software to investigate existing material and BOM’s.

  • Ability to learn to Edit Sales Order Bill of Material (BOM) and lower level Bill of Material (BOM).

  • Prepare bills of material using computerized bill of material system.

  • Ability to learn to Generates Engineering Change notices when required.

  • Support manufacturing with issues as they arise.
