SCOPE OF WORK:
The Product Manager works as a multi-faceted marketing and development manager responsible for a product portfolio. Responsible for understanding products, markets, customers, and end user trends to establish a go-forward product and branding strategy. In addition to this, they act as a brand and product champion for both internal cross-functional teams and external customers and vendors. Also responsible for understanding product line and customer P&L financials, establishing strategies to maximize profitability and sales, and aligning executive leadership and key account managers with this strategy.
The role of a Product Manager at Arrow Fastener is broad and needs someone with a proactive and achievement-oriented mindset. We are looking for a self-starter that can do extensive multi-channel research, define key results, and work with cross-functional teams to find product solutions and innovative ideas. They will need to show excellent strategic planning and problem solving while developing project timelines, go-to market brand strategies, market pricing, and managing cross-functional teams from product idea conception through launch. In addition, they will need to consistently manage the legacy product lines, product related activities, and product sales initiatives. They must show strategic and interpersonal skills while developing retail product strategies/presentations and presenting to key customers with the assistance of sales.
The Product Manager will work on a team managing core business projects and portfolios. This position will report directly to the Senior Product Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
• Manages assigned product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Achieves sales revenue and gross margin targets.
• Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
• Drives solutions across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product feature set, packaging, standard cost optimization, and product positioning.
• Leads assigned new product development projects through the Stage/Gate process.
• Develops and implements go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
• Participates in Line Reviews and Prospect Pitches
• Analyzes potential partner relationships for the product.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably with a consumer product orientation.
• Demonstrated success defining and launching new products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Big Box retail experience preferred.
