JOB SUMMARY
Provide monitoring for network control/data center with focus on detection and response to possible threats. Responsible for keeping patching up-to-date. Support end users with multifactor authentication or ECA certificate setup.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
"Review messages/alerts from various security platforms on a daily basis
"Monitor alerts on all security platform such as antivirus, antispam, help desk and SIEM
"Prioritize and investigate alerts and escalate incident as required
"Perform incident response and remediation
"Perform threat hunting and review of system/software security
"Securely test possible malicious evident
"Provide reports of monitoring activities and incidents
"Conduct forensics analysis and fact gathering
"Maintain vulnerability assessments system
"Perform penetration testing for specific applications, services, networks and servers as required
"Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Currently pursuing BS/BA degree in cyber security, information security, computer science or a related technical field from an accredited institution. Preferred 0 to 3 years of cyber security related experience and/or training
"Ability to stay calm under
"Some technical training or equivalent experience
"Knowledge of network hardware and understanding network configuration
"Must have excellent verbal communication skills
"Be resourceful and with ability to do research online
"Must have ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
"Ability to stay calm under pressure
"Ability to work through tough technical challenges
"Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all company policies
COMPUTER SKILLS
"Understanding of OSI model and ability to apply to troubleshooting issues
"Knowledge of networking, packet flow, TCP/UDP traffic, and firewalls
"Prefer ability to write scripts/code using Python, Perl, PowerShell, or an equivalent language
"Experience working with Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac
"Familiar with VirusTotal, AnyRun or similar online cyber security tools
