Facilities Manager
A facilities manager is needed to work collaboratively with leadership and staff to ensure a clean and safe environment. The facilities manager will be responsible for upkeep of properties inside and out, as well as developing and administering a preventative maintenance program for all buildings. Conducting and coordinating regular building inspections for safety, cleaning standards and compliance will be part of the job. Performing maintenance duties, coordinating jobs with contractors along with other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:
* Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to the team
* Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
* Managing routine maintenance on facilities and ensuring repairs are completed as needed
* Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
* Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
* Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
* Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
* Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
* Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
* Planning and execution of capital investment projects: budgeting, cost estimates, & plans
* Write construction specifications and bidding documents based on best practices
* Draft layouts and plans in AutoCAD for in-house and outsourced construction projects.
* Code compliance and permitting as needed for projects.
* Construction oversight to ensure project is completed on-time, under-budget, and according to plan while meeting any compliance & safety constraints
* Work with various departments on office moves and create layouts
* Work closely with the EHS Department to stay in compliance with current environmental permits (Air, Water, Waste, & UST).
* Oversee site security measures: employee badging, door controls, & security cameras
* Work with Building Management Software to maintain HVAC operation.
* Oversee fire protection systems: fire alarm panel, sprinklers, & chemical extinguishers, along with required testing of these systems.
* Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Safety training of contractors.
* Occasionally performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Education and/or Experience Required:
* 4 year degree in either Mechanical or Civil Engineering
* 5 years experience with managing a team in multi-building facility
* Understand construction standards and be able to read blue prints.
* Have strong AutoCAD skills for drafting in 2D; 3D preferred
* Strong computer skills; MS Office proficient (Word, Excel, Project)
* Possess good time management skills. Ability to handle a wide variety of task and demands in a timely manner
* Must possess good interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of practices and procedures of construction and building codes preferred
* Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
* Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic
