Sr. Tech Service/Sales Rep at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Milford, Ohio

Job Description:

The Technical Service Representative - Packaging Coatings will support west coast accounts and be responsible for managing technical service activities in this region used at packaging manufacturing customer's plants. The TSSR will work directly with an internal and external teams to improve the performance of PPG products and work on mutually value added projects with our customers. This position will help direct overall scheduling of TSSR resources for USCA including contractors and will also lead major customer product Secure Launches!

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the customer at various levels to ensure quality and expectations is meeting customer requirements.
• Manages multiple customer sites and well versed in customer equipment/processes.
• Strong knowledge of customer process areas and the ability to enable PPG coating technologies to operate successfully in and sometimes outside the established customer operating window.
• Works independently and is able to troubleshoot and make decisions. May have some supervisory responsibility.
• Under limited supervision, undertakes pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support including commissioning, installation, testing and maintenance service to customers.
• Coordinates, investigates, and recommends new business tools for users as requested.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, with a technical background in chemistry, engineering.
• Experience in can making industry of 10+ years.

• Strong knowledge of customer quality systems and processes.
• Ability to work independently with ability troubleshoot and make decisions.
• Strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail are required to complete reports and manage data.
• May travel extensively in support of key Customer programs.
