The Chief Medical Informatics Officer will champion the efforts to build a strong bridge between clinical staff and the information technology department. This will allow for providers to maintain and increase the quality of care provided to each and every patient. Having a strong background of clinical experience, excellent communication skills, a patient service focus, along with creative problem solving approach to improving patient care will greatly benefit the Chief Medical Information Officer. 

The Chief Medical Informatics Officer will be involved with inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary systems across the hospital and dozen ambulatory clinics that make up the health system. They will provides leadership for all information systems that assist nurses, physicians and other clinical team members deliver patient care, medical education and research.  This will advance the health systems efforts to continually provide the highest level of clinical quality and safety initiatives. A current Oregon medical license is required as is proficiency with an EPIC electronic medical records system.
