Youth Sports Director - West Boise at TREASURE VALLEY FAMILY YMCA in Boise, Idaho

Job Description:

Youth Sports programs at the Y offer a wide variety of activities that center around helping kids of all ages and abilities keep their mind and body active and grow a love for play and recreation. The Youth Sports Director is responsible for the management and development of YMCA Sports leagues, camps, clinics, and programs for participants aged 4-18. Recreational programs include basketball, soccer, volleyball, football, tennis, and more. Ideal candidates will have an understanding of and passion for sports, working with volunteers, and youth development.
Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, or similar. Equivalent experience in youth development or sports may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience in curriculum design, conflict-management, staff/volunteer development, managing an operating budget, and program development required. Candidate must show competence within Microsoft Windows and Office Suite and an overall ability to learn new software programs.
Physical Requirements: Must have ability to stand or sit maintaining alertness for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be able to view data on a computer for extended periods of time.
Schedule Requirements: This is a full-time position. Schedule varies based on seasons. Youth sports programming occurs weekday evenings and/or Saturdays. Candidates must be flexible in scheduling and adaptable to change.
