Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst will be based in Columbia, South Carolina.  They will be responsible for analyzing complex business problems within automated systems.  They will be responsible for design details for automated systems in order to make them more efficient.  Responsible for providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective.  Must have the ability to consult with the business in order to gather requirements.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Support customer application


• Analyze new requirements


• Define requirements specifications to define methods and procedures related to new assignments


• Write functional and technical specifications for developers


• Use skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in a creative and cost-effective way


• Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones.


• Monitor project progress, timelines, and budget constraints to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.


• Verify newly developed processes


• Develop reports according to user requirements


• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of multiple factors


• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain qualified and motivated staff

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role


• Flex Flow experience


• Teams experience


• Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates advanced skills in functional/ technical area.


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.


• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.


•  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.


• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


•  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


• Demonstrates capabilities to lead a major initiative.


• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel

• Experience working in a clinical laboratory or healthcare environment


• Experience in Corrective Action and Preventive Action process (CAPA)


• Knowledge of Quality standards ISO 13485 and IEC 62304
