Hub Linehaul Supervisor at Express Messenger Systems, Inc in Henderson, Nevada

Job Description:

The Hub Line Haul Supervisor works with Industrial Engineering and the Hub Linehaul Manager on the engineered load plans and departure times. The purpose of this role is to support The Hub L/H Mgr., monitor daily volumes, ensure trailers are loaded correctly and execute the changes made in the line haul plans to optimize the linehaul network.Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the company safety program.


Shift: Sunday- Thursday,  2pm-12am



  1. Be present on the dock during the sort ensuring systems are in place to monitor load volumes and working with HUB L/H Mgr. on current needed adjustments and/or contingency plans. 

  2. Communicate with Hub Linehaul Manager daily to reduce lines and maximize network efficiency.

  3. Work with Line Dispatch monitoring any late lines into the HUB and working with HUB Operations implementing any recovery contingencies.

  4. Monitors load quality and capacity utilization, and develops and implements improvement plans with Training and Development and HUB Operations.

  5. Manage line haul admin staff to ensure timely date entry into Fastrac line haul module.

  6. Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

 


While performing the duties of this job:



  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel.

  • The physical activity associated with this position is considered high. The employee will regularly lift, push, pull and/or move items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

 


Minimum Requirements:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • College degree strongly preferred.

  • Two to five years of logistics/supply chain, dispatching, transportation, engineering, or business analyst/project management experience.

  • Three years leadership experience.

  • Current Class A driver’s license is preferred.

  • High level of technical knowledge with DOT equipment.

  • The ability to use basic excel, word and email.

  • Able to read and write in the English language.
