 If you are a Human Resources professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson Automation Solutions has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location, you will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the HR Management team to aid in the support of Flow Controls employees.  AS A HR GENERALIST, YOU WILL:


  • Lead for Campus Recruitment and Branding Initiatives for the Business Unit

    • Provide a high level of customer service in consulting with and guiding hiring managers in comprehensive campus recruitment processes.
    • Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the business units and functional departments and their campus recruitment needs; develop and maintain a strong rapport with key leaders in the organization.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key campus contacts
    • Coordinate college co-op and intern recruiting and on-site orientation and programming.

  • Serve as point of contact for K-12 Community Outreach events initiatives
  • Serve as HR Liaison for local Women In STEM board to connect the group with current HR & Recruiting initiatives
  • Lead & coordinate orientation and onboarding initiatives for Marshalltown sites
  • Business Unit lead for support and maintenance of Ethics Training and Tracking, Annual Communication Plan, Employee Opinion Survey Feedback Action Items, Annual Conflict of Interest, and Performance Review Completion Tracking.
  • Lead salaried/supervision/management training coordination
  • Coordinate annual Emerson Scholarship program
  • Lead the implementation and successful completion of all mandatory business unit training.
  • Serve as training point of contact for Emerson-led workshops including room logistics, scheduling, and at times facilitation.
  • Support administration for the local Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • Lead/Support HR Team Special projects

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • BA/BS degree plus 2 years human resource experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • Experience with human resources management system (HRMS) and learning management systems (LMS) a plus 
  • Korn Ferry tools certification a plus
  • Knowledge of core HR processes
  • PC/Technology Skills:  Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Ability to properly balance employee advocacy and business requirements
  • Drive projects while managing day-to-day activities
