This PRODUCTION PLANNER position will be located in Plant 3, Whitehall Casting. The primarily responsibilities include:

• Convert customer requirements to achievable manufacturing schedule.
• Communicates schedules and priorities to manufacturing teams.
• Communicates and coordinates with outplant suppliers.
• Establishes priorities and coordinates execution of the plan.
• Create material requisitions for outplant processing.
• Maintain visibility of overdue jobs; analyze and develop recovery schedules.
• Effective communication with customers, manufacturing teams, engineering, and sales.
• Performs checks and audits of scheduling rules while interacting with other departments.
• Make changes and improvements to schedules for improving throughput and on time delivery.
• Work with the customer on demand alignment, commitments, and any foreseen gaps.

• BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of one year experience in Manufacturing or Production Control .
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• APICS Certification is preferred
• Experience with generating purchase order requisitions.
• Materials/supply chain related background in production planning or supply chain planning.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrates competent use of automated order system.
• Solid base knowledge of manufacturing process and flow of material.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to develop and use planning strategies.
• Ability to generate reports, write business coorespondence, and procedures.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Solid problem-solving skills with a continiuous improvement mindset.
