Experience:
Prior housekeeping or custodial experience is preferred.
General Responsibilities
The Environmental Services Worker maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring that housekeeping and custodial activities are completed within established quality standards and safety guidelines.
Essential Duties
Performs general housekeeping and custodial duties:
Dusts furniture, woodwork and equipment.
Vacuuming, sweeping, dust mopping and damp mopping floors in all areas including offices, entry ways, corridors, etc.
Responsible for the safe and proper usage of pre-mixed cleaning solutions; occasionally mixes cleaning solutions for specific functions; adheres to all safety precautions.
Cleans vents, fan fixtures, tops of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks, floors and commodes.
Cleans and polishes fixtures.
Gathers and disposes trash and waste materials.
Removes recycling materials.
Cleans exterior grounds of debris as necessary.
Keeps work areas neat and orderly, cleans equipment and assists with other cleaning duties as assigned.
Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
Responds to inquiries relating to his/her area, or to requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
Assists the immediate supervisor with various administrative tasks to support department operations, as directed; may also be assigned special projects.
Ancillary Duties
Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
