Perform general warehouse functions which will include accurately receiving, stocking, picking and shipping products. Deliver products to customers, as needed, providing a high level of customer service satisfaction. Understand and utilize Cross operating systems to provide effective and efficient customer service.
Essential Functions
Build hose assemblies per Cross Hose safe hose process requirements
Adding bar coded labels to inventory items
Receive material by matching the contents of the carton to the packing slip
Put away stock in correct bin location
Pick orders correctly by matching the item and quantity picked to the pick ticket
Package orders for shipping using the appropriate packing material to protect against damage by the carrier; follow instructions & requirements as noted on the pick ticket
Perform daily inventory cycle count
Deliver product to customers, bin fill in appropriate place as instructed
Understand and communicate customer directions related to product requests
Additional Responsibilities
Warehouse:
Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse
Remove pallets from warehouse, break down and package plastic reels for return to the reel manufacturer
Perform special projects as assigned by the Retail Sales Manager
Ship small packages using a PC shipping system
Process motor freight shipments as directed
Achieve forklift certification in locations with lifts
Facility:
Pick up trash on the grounds and parking lots as needed
Clean hose assembly tables daily
Sweep warehouse floor daily, mop as requested by supervisor
Perform special projects as assigned by supervisor
Safety:
Follow Cross Company policies for safe operation of all machinery and equipment
Follow “best practices” and training to avoid lifting, repetitive motion, or other job-related injuries
Report all unsafe practices or conditions immediately to supervisor
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Clean driving record
Basics of warehouse operations and terminology a plus
